160 years of ANSCHÜTZ hunting and sporting weapons – the whole family pitches in

Ulm on the Donau, the world-renowned hunting and sporting weapons manufacturer is celebrating its 160th company anniversary this year. People, family and tradition are meaningful values at ANSCHÜTZ and firmly entrenched in the company guidelines. It therefore comes as no surprise that even the children of Jochen Anschütz are pitching in and learning to follow in the great footsteps of their forefathers at an early age.

To commemorate the 160-year anniversary, ANSCHÜTZ is producing 160 models from the hunting, biathlon, and match sectors in an exclusive and strictly limited anniversary edition. This edition of anniversary models is comprised of twenty copies each of eight different models.

These models were produced by ANSCHÜTZ in the number range 160 0001 – 160 0160. All of the rifles were produced with the best gunsmith quality, great attention to detail, and outstanding precision workmanship. Three generations of the Anschütz family stake their reputation on this.

160 years ago, the groundwork for a family enterprise which has enjoyed international success to this day was laid by Julius Gottfried Anschütz in what is now Zella-Mehlis in Thüringen. Following the 2nd World War, the company started anew in Ulm a.d. Donau where ANSCHÜTZ still has its company headquarters to this day and where it produces sports weapons "made in Germany".
